Available for new projects

Team Lead / Senior Software Engineer

I build the systems businesses quietly depend on — backend platforms, automation that takes repetitive work off people's desks, and websites that turn visitors into enquiries.

12 years in, Java-first: sportsbooks and game servers, OTP and payment flows, and enterprise delivery at Accenture.

What I build

Four kinds of work, one engineer who owns it end to end.

Most projects touch more than one of these. You get one person who understands the whole thing — from the database to the button your customer taps.

Backend systems & APIs

Java and Spring Boot services that stay up: platforms, payment and OTP flows, third-party integrations, and the APIs the rest of your product plugs into.

built before → Game provider systems · sportsbook APIs · SmartPay · trading connectivity

  • Java
  • Spring Boot
  • MySQL
  • Kafka

Automation & internal tools

The work your team repeats by hand every week, done by software instead — scrapers, scheduled jobs, messaging, reports, and the small internal tools nobody has time to build.

built before → Manibus Scraper · SmartOTP · MobileOTP · SMS Sender

  • Java
  • Python
  • Selenium
  • NATS

Websites & web apps

Fast, mobile-first sites built to bring in bookings, quotes and enquiries — not just to look good. Content lives in one file, so updates don't need me.

built before → Bakante · PZaide Letrato · the design samples below

  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind

Modernisation & delivery

Moving older applications onto containers and proper pipelines without breaking what already works — with the tests and quality checks that keep it that way.

built before → Migrations at Accenture · Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure DevOps

  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Jenkins
  • SonarQube
Selected work

Things I've built, and the problems they solve.

Two products, a client site, and three design samples that show what I'd build for a business like yours. Then the enterprise work, which lives behind employers' NDAs.

Bakante

Court booking for players, not venues

The problem
Finding a free badminton or pickleball court means messaging three venues and waiting for replies. Paying means a bank transfer and a screenshot.
What it does
Filter by sport, sort by distance from where you're standing, tap the hours you want across any days or venues, and pay by GCash, Maya or card. The pass is on your phone before a venue would have replied.
  • A session cart that spans days and venues, with peak pricing and live availability
  • Payment-provider interface behind a simulated gateway — GCash one-time codes, card declines, receipts
  • Browser-persisted state that survives refresh without a flash, via useSyncExternalStore
  • Next.js 16
  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS

Walkthrough

Inspection reports that write themselves

The problem
A routine rental inspection ends with an evening at a laptop: cropping phone photos, typing notes into a template, and chasing tradespeople for quotes.
What it does
Walk the property on your phone, tap a condition for each room and photograph as you go. The owner report, maintenance schedule and quote requests are ready before you're back at the car.
  • Mobile-first flow built around the phone's rear camera
  • Typed domain model with a single reducer for all inspection state
  • An owner report that prints cleanly to PDF

  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
Client website

PZaide Letrato

Photography & videography studio, Laguna

A five-page site for a photography and videography studio: a slideshow hero, a filterable gallery with lightbox, service pages, and an enquiry form that emails the studio directly. Contact details live in one config file the owner can change.

  • Next.js
  • React
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Nodemailer

How we'd work

No surprises, from first call to launch.

Working with someone in another country only works when you always know where things stand. This is how I keep it that way.

  1. 01

    A 30-minute call

You tell me what's slow, broken or repetitive. I tell you honestly whether software is the fix — sometimes it isn't.

  2. 02

    A fixed quote

Scope, timeline and price in writing before any work starts. No hourly meter running in the background.

  3. 03

    Weekly demos

You see working software every week, on your own phone and laptop — not a big reveal at the end.

  4. 04

    Launch, then look after it

I deploy it, document it, hand over the keys, and stay on for fixes and the next round of changes.

When I’m online, in your time

9:00 am – 6:00 pm Philippine time (UTC+8).
